News1130 is proud to present Rogers Christmas in July in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank!  Join News1130's George Gordon and Dianne Newman on Friday July 25th, outside the Burrard Street Skytrain Station for Christmas in July.  The Greater Vancouver Food Bank needs your support during this very slow time.   Between 7am and 9am, volunteers will be collecting donations for the Food Bank and spreading some early Christmas cheer in a mini Winter Wonderland.  Santa Claus will even make an appearance!
For your convenience, you can simply drop off your donation with volunteers lining the streets (Dunsmuir & Burrard) or you can use our handy dandy "drive-thru" drop-off zone, set up westbound on Dunsmuir at Burrard.

A long time tradition of the Fair is back, the Westcoast Loggers have brought their brand new show to the PNE. Filled with unforgettable feats of strength, agility and speed, four lumberjacks will compete daily in the spirit of friendly competition as they try to out-climb, out-saw, out-chop and out-throw each other. Complete with log rolling, the double buck cross-saw cut race, axe throwing, springboard chop and of course, the famous 40ft tree climbing spectacular, the show is full of splashing, sawdust and laughter. Educational and entertaining, this is one action-packed show you won’t want to miss - just look for the 40ft climbing polls in Spirit Plaza
