VPD hunt for man accused of groping 12-year-old girl in West End

VANCOUVER (NEWS 113) – Vancouver Police are on the hunt for a man accused of sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in the West End.

Investigators say the girl was with friends near Denman and Comox around 9 p.m. yesterday when they noticed two men whispering and staring at them outside a 7-11. One of those men followed the girls to Chilco street, groped the 12-year-old and took off. He headed east along Pendrell Street and north on Guilford.

Despite conducting a search, officers were not able to find the man. The girl was very upset not but physically injured in the attack.

VPD describe the suspect as white, between 5’8″- 5’10,” with some facial hair. He was wearing dark clothes, a hat, and a backpack.
