VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You’ll soon be able to take your kids with you in some pubs and legions.
Christy Clark is supporting another set of recommendations on liquor reform; highlights include more opportunities for pubs and legions to be more family-friendly.
Happy hour will also be brought in.
“Happy hours happen in every province across the country,” says Clark. “It happens safely. But the two key things that need to be in place for it to be safe [are a] minimum price and… a maximum amount of time for happy hours to be in operation.”
You’ll also be able to have a drink at a restaurant and not be forced to order food to go along with it.
There are about 50 more recommendations, which Clark says she will continue to roll out slowly, in the hopes to modernize our 100-year-old Liquor Act while keeping public safety in mind.
